The library is in the process of digitising their collection, and when their software has trouble recognising some text, they make it into an image for a CAPTCHA. It's a little more complicated than that, but the result is that the responses they get are used for digitising the library. The monotone developers are currently adapting it to ikiwiki. -- hendrik
