I didn't mention that in so many words, but yes, the output level of
the Nokia seems to be significantly less than optimum, and less than
my mp3 player. I think that amplifies the problem. When I turn all the
volume settings I can find on the Nokia all the way up, the noise
seems to lessen, and not just as a matter of perception because the
music is louder.
