If I should take both my N810 and a laptop to some unwired location (my boat), how can I have them communicate ? Bringing a WiFi hub (+ power supply, + inverter...) seems like overkill. If I could set my laptop in Ad-Hoc or Master mode (which I'm not sure I can, or even if the chip supports it; the iwconfig option is rejected in Linux and I just get confused in Windows between duelling Microsoft and IBM managers), could the N810 connect ? Or, is it possible to connect via the USB cable and get a shell so I can use the laptop keyboard ? Otherwise, posting files through the SD card would work OK, but no keyboard. -- Andrew Daviel, TRIUMF, Canada Tel. +1 (604) 222-7376 (Pacific Time) Network Security Manager
