FYI, there is an untapped/lost charging option, at least for the n800.  
Under OS2007 you could charge your n800 with the USB connection.  The 
USB charging option was dropped under OS2008, possibly because the same 
option isn't available in the n810 hardware?  Or perhaps it's just 
waiting for someone to write a app of some sort to bring it back.
