I have a car charger and line charger at work that cost less than $3 each at a discount drug store. If the charger were damaged it wouldn't be a problem. In my original post, I avoided ranting about the crappy little connector on the Tablet. Even the OEM charger doesn't even plug fully into the connector on the Tablet. It leaves a long cantilever sticking out. It was loose from the start and is very easily damaged. Once damaged, it is difficult to charge the Tablet.
