What is the problem exactly? Why do you think it doesn't register it?

There is local dnsmasq DNS server running so it is perfectly OK to have 
/etc/resolf.conf pointing to 127.0.0.1

For advanced configuration check /etc/dnsmasq.conf

If you want static resolf.conf style file it has several of them 
configured and you can add your own too if it is not enough.
