I use gpe-calendar and pimlico tasks. They turned out to be the best for my workflow. No other reason. Completely subjective. Note I don't use a contact tool at all. More of a personal problem then anything. But I mainly keep contacts on my phone instead.

Bouth suites could use some elbow grease. I don't think either has an advantage over the other as a whole.
