[maemo-users] Compose key

I repost this here, because I got no answer in maemo-users.

Hi,

I have a N900 with English keyboard, but my main language is German. If
I want to write a U-Umlaut (Ü) than I need to type Fn-Sym-¨-U. That are
four steps...

On the other side I have £-key (Fn-Z). I would like to change it with a
compose key or the at least with the ¨/(diaeresis)-key. So I don't need
to wait for the virtual special characters keypad.

Is it possible to replace £ with compose (or ¨)?

Thanks,

Keywan
