That's utterly irrelevant. If you can't run your applications in an
emulator, you can't get a reasonable idea of how well they are
working. And if the product isn't something you're ashamed of, there's
no reason not to let anybody who wants to try your product to download
and use the emulator. If they like what they see, they're going to buy
the real thing. But there's always a lot of resistance to releasing
emulators when the product is both 1) Way overpriced and 2) Not very
good...
