There are configuration settings that identify a specific variant and affect some functionality: for example the italian regulation forbids transmitting on the FM band and therefore the transmitter is disabled. I do not know if this is the only case, but you might want to get an official statement through the Nokia customer support, so that you can use it later on, in case you find some problematic feature. igor
