Following a link at Internet Tablet Talk, I went to a page about porting Flite text-to-speech software to the Nokia 770.<br>

Apart from the fact that the application appears to create a sound file
that the 770 can't play :-), I'm wondering what one needs to do to
install this app (or similar non-Application Installer-ready ones) for
use.<br>

Is this a case of "only if you're root"? Or something less complicated?<br>
