That's a good point about the power requirements. I had not even considered that. <br><br>The link to <a href="http://jasons.org">jasons.org</a> was one of the two links from <a href="http://fedoraforum.org">fedoraforum.org</a> that I used to get the connection with the laptop working. I'll continue heading along that path.<br>

you may need an external power injector to drive the USB modem. As I understand it from previous messages on this list (circa late 2007^1 ), the N800 and N810 can only deliver between 100ma and 200ma to the interface.<br>

I am a new (~30 hours) owner of a N810 that I like very much. One of the uses I hoped to do with this is connect with my wireless Verizon broadband modem (UM175) and get access when I am outside my wifi zones, like I currently do with my linux laptop. Since wvdial does not exist in /usr/bin, it looks like I may have to attempt to build it myself. Before I head down that path, has anyone else set up a connection with these types of modems?<br>
