As Simon mentioned, newer telepathy-hazes require telepathy-glib 0.7, which is
not in Chinook.  When Diablo is released (imminently) with a newer
telepathy-glib (and my N810 comes back from being repaired!), I'll make a newer
haze package that lets you configure the message encoding, and update
account-plugin-haze accordingly.
