Once user closes the Contact image file selector, sometimes something invisible
takes or keeps a pointer grab[1].  This prevents screen from blanking.
I'm pretty sure the grab is done by the Contacts application (image popup).

[1] two first task navigator menus don't open, but for some reason
the application menu opens.  Maybe grab doesn't concern XInput, only
normal pointer events?  (I think applications menu is using XInput
for legacy reasons, earlier there were separate thumb & stylus menus)
