STEPS TO REPRODUCE THE PROBLEM:
1. Install RTCOMM beta for OS2008, including IRC support.
2. Configure an IRC account. (I use chat.us.freenode.net.)
3. Open a new chat window, joining an IRC chat room. (I use #maemo.)
4. Open one or two MicroB windows.*
5. Bounce between the chat window and the MicroB window(s), chatting and
browsing. Mostly browsing.

EXPECTED OUTCOME:
The tablet becomes less responsive at times when rendering complex web pages,
but functions normally.

ACTUAL OUTCOME:
After approximately one to three hours, the tablet freezes up and reboots.

REPRODUCIBILITY:
always, but the time before reboot varies

EXTRA SOFTWARE INSTALLED:
modest 1.0-2008.24-1 (checking one IMAP & one POP3 email account in background)

OTHER COMMENTS:
I also have AIM, ICQ, YM!, MSN, link-local, and Google Talk accounts enabled in
RTCOMM, but it's only when IRC is enabled and in use that the reboots occur.
Having an IRC account enabled without an IRC chat window open does not seem to
trigger the reboots.

I have 128 MB of swap enabled.

* I don't know that web browsing is necessary to trigger the bug. I always have
web browser windows open.
