maemo Linux based OS2008 version 2.2007.50-2

STEPS TO REPRODUCE THE PROBLEM:

Go to maemo.org downloads, click on OS 2008, search for VNC -- no results.
Go to maemo.org downloads, click on OS 2007, search for VNC, click on the quick
install for VNC Viewer.  Application manager gives an error saying the package
isn't compatible.

EXPECTED OUTCOME:

Go to maemo.org downloads, click on OS 2008, search for VNC, click on the quick
install for VNC Viewer, install VNC Viewer.  Connect to a VNC server, and start
remote controlling it.

ACTUAL OUTCOME:

None.  The package for 2008 doesn't exist.  The package for OS 2007 doesn't
install on OS 2008.

I seem to recall that when I last tried VNC (not sure if it was with OS 2007 on
my N800, or with OS 2008 on my N810) the enter key didn't completely transmit
through to the vnc server, making it hard to send IM's in AdiumX on my Mac, for
example.
