EXACT STEPS LEADING TO PROBLEM: 
1. Recieve IM
2. Start writing something into the IM dialog box
3. Realize you want to say it later
4. Try to select text via swiping left

EXPECTED OUTCOME:
Text gets selected, able to cut for later pasting

ACTUAL OUTCOME:
Nothing happends, forced to select text via shift +arrow key.
