SOFTWARE VERSION:

EXACT STEPS LEADING TO PROBLEM: 
1. enter a skype chat with a buddy on the n900
2. write some chatty text
3. install a skype client on another machine capable of editing the chat text
after being sent, for instance recent versions of skype on windows or osx
4. use the arrow-up key to enter edit mode and edit some of the text

EXPECTED OUTCOME:
the n900 skype client does not show the corrections as they occur.

ACTUAL OUTCOME:
the text should be displayed as corrected by the chat buddy. this is the actual
outcome on skype clients on different platforms.

REPRODUCIBILITY:
always

i should file another ticket to note the lack of typing notifications :)
