When importing a vCard that lacks separate firstname/lastname fields what is so wrong with assuming that the last word of the FN is the lastname and all preceeding words are forenames? This would work for a large proportion of people and would then mean that only a handful of contacts need to be modified post-import. Making this an option on the import - eg. "Parse firstname/lastname when necessary" - would be the ideal, I guess. As things stand ALL contacts have to be modified because the importer has been written under the assumption that it can't do the job of parsing the names perfectly, so it does it badly every time. Surely getting it right most times is infinitely better than not getting it right at all? -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.maemo.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Replies to this email are NOT read, instead please add comments at https://bugs.maemo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=6704 ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the QA contact for the bug, or are watching the QA contact.
