Error given after trying to save after adding 46 fields is: "unable to add a
field, maximum number of fields reached".

The bug is the error message not the limitation. It's saying "you can't add
something", but you aren't trying to "add something", you're trying to "save
something". If it doesn't want you to add a field, it should complain when you
click "add".
