Yes, precisely. It happens regularly that I forget the name of my contact at
such-and-such company, but I remember the company name. If I'm given a list of
contacts at that company, I can recognise the right one, though. Employee
churn/turn-over happens, but company names are quite more stable, and often I
know the company well before I do business with them, but not the employee that
will be my contact there.

Also, use-case from my boss who evaluated a N900 to switch from an old PalmOS
Handspring Treo and found this a major "missing feature": The person I'm
looking for is a dentist in Houston, but I don't remember hir name. So a search
for "Paris" and "Houston" in all fields would give a reasonable list to choose
from; when seeing the name one goes "ah yes, that is it". (My boss has about
2500 contacts in hir Treo.) My boss would be quite content to have to press
"CTRL-F" to start a full-text all-fields search instead of just starting to
type; that's roughly the UI the Treo gives hir.
