I agree with Andre regarding the user wanting to continue the chat. But for
SMS? A lot of application use SMS for short notifications like Facebook status
updates, tweets, Pre-paid account balance, when someone goes back on the
network after he switched off his phone etc.. Its a bit counter intuitive to
keep the window open for these things as well when the user simply wants to get
rid of the message from the conversation list after reading it.
