No problem.

The long message came from my service provider (Movistar in Spain) in two
consecutive parts. First one starts by (1/2) and the second one starts by
(2/2). I cannot confirm it, but I remember that this splitting was correctly
identified by my old N95 8GB phone. I have not tested it by receiving any other
long SMS.

P.D. When I'm saying 160 characters I am not sure of the exact number, maybe it
is 165 chars.
