Maemo uses Telepathy, hence a prefered solution would be implementing this
upstream. Developers are willing to help 3rd party developers, see
http://lists.cypherpunks.ca/pipermail/otr-users/2008-September/001480.html or
the upstream bug ticket at http://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=16891 .
