STEPS TO REPRODUCE THE PROBLEM:

diablo has a problem to connect to (many?) SIP providers using 
telepathy/rtcomm. I have seen the problem with 1und1.de which is one of the
largest VOIP providers in Germany. This post

very accurately.

of peoples having now trouble)

EXPECTED OUTCOME:
maemo connects to the SIP server

ACTUAL OUTCOME:
maemo cannot connect
