I have received text messages from people on Telus, Rogers, Fido, and Virgin
(in Victoria, BC, Canada). All are off by 5 hours. I would think if the issue
was with the SMS center, it would have been reported and fixed long long ago?

So are you certain there is no way this could be a bug in the n900? It also
seems odd that Olivier would have the same issue in (presumably) a different
part of the world with totally different providers.
