SOFTWARE VERSION:
1.2009.42-11.002

STEPS TO REPRODUCE THE PROBLEM:
1. Open the application menu
2. click "Settings"
3. click "Text Input"
4. select "Use virtual keyboard"
5. click "Save"
6. Open the phone application
7. click "Dialing pad"
8. click on the text entry box above the numbers with your finger

EXPECTED OUTCOME:
nothing should happen, or if numbers are already in the text entry box the
cursor should be moved to where you press 

ACTUAL OUTCOME:
virtual keyboard opens (and if you are in portrait mode, will switch your
device to landscape mode)

REPRODUCIBILITY:
always

OTHER COMMENTS:
the biggest annoyance with this is when you enter a number incorrectly and have
to move the cursor to the location where you made the mistake.
