https://bugs.maemo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=5423 epa at iki.fi changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Status|RESOLVED |REOPENED Resolution|WONTFIX | ------- Comment #5 from epa at iki.fi 2009-10-20 11:00 GMT+3 ------- If one works from terminal and deletes stuff then pin check would be pointless yes. If one deletes single instance of anything (file, contact info, ...) checking that with PIN code would be pointless. If one from UserInterface deletes ALL instances of some information repository that contains data which owner of the device has somehow 'created' I would really hope to see PIN check there just to validate that all must go and it is not an accident and/or spiteful action. About the "clear/reset the call-history or log of received messages". I have not gotten that far in investigating the device yet as to comment if it would be good to have on those, but I think "complete contact information removal" is important enough to be validated. And no auto-locking is not the protection in this case. Unless you implement 'auto lock when ever leaving owners hands' feature. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.maemo.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Replies to this email are NOT read, instead please add comments at https://bugs.maemo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=5423 ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the QA contact for the bug, or are watching the QA contact.
