Sounds like an interesting idea.

There's a risk that big wins like SSO for maemo.org could be seen as
wasted work depending on whether people still *need* maemo.org in 6
months' time; whereas a donation framework for Downloads/Packages
could be transplanted to meego.com.

Agreed. Thanks for taking the initiative to kick this off, do you want
to open the thread on tmo? If so, I'll do a council blog post to
further point to the discussion.
