Being a mobile device, it is quite intelligent to try and use the GSM network to determine the reg domain. However, what is not intelligent is to fall back to US when it fails to determine it. Instead, it should fall back to a reg domain determined by the user.

And to make it better. Using the GSM network should be optional.
