https://maemo.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=808 ------- Additional Comments From kimmo.hamalainen at nokia.com 2006-10-19 10:31 ------- D-Bus is designed so that it kills the process it has started (or activated) if the process does not register the correct service in 30 seconds time. So, if your program is started from the menu, it must register the D-Bus service that is specified in its .service file in /usr/share/dbus-1/services. osso_initialize() does this for you (or you can do it using D-Bus API directly). What comes to the syslog, it's ridiculously easy to install it yourself... Just take the ARM packages from Debian and dpkg -i --force-all them, or compile ARMEL packages if you don't like forcing. (It's totally brain-damaged to have syslogd running there by default since the normal user will never need it.) -- Configure bugmail: https://maemo.org/bugzilla/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the QA contact for the bug, or are watching the QA contact.
