I have some observations which may be useful.

On my new N800 running OS2007, I encountered this bug when I loaded
camera_2.9-2video. That application is know to oops the kernel (bug reported).
After the kernel error, the camera application crashed, and it would not close
its window no matter what (kill -9 did not help). So I had to shut N800 down,
and after that I could not turn it on again unless I did the tricks described
elsewhere (removing battery, waiting for some time, etc.).

This was reproducible behavior on my system -each time after camera crash
and turning off I had trouble tunning it on. I tried this several times.
It would turn on normally in other cases (i.e., not following camera-induced
kernel crash).


I reflashed with OS 2008, and camera2.9 no longer works, so I cannot
test this any more.
