If some > strings outside of banners are missing after update-sudoers run, bug is valid, > but I'd like to have more info, at least example of modified /etc/sudoers file. > Sorry Grigori, I didn't realise you wanted more from me. My update WAS within the "### Automatically added by update-sudoers start ###" and "### Automatically added by update-sudoers end ###", so by your definition possibly invalid. I do think though that the fact that the sudoers file is built differently on Maemo compared to any other distro (or at least any other I know) means it creates a trap (which I fell into). If this were the common way the file was created, then admins would expect anything between the banners to risk being over-written, but as it is, there's no reason to assume this would happen. The way this works, it would perhaps be better if visudo edited, say, /etc/sudoers.d/sudo.local and then ran update-sudoers when the file was saved. ...just a few thoughts to save others from getting caught out. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.maemo.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Replies to this email are NOT read, instead please add comments at https://bugs.maemo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=3764 ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the QA contact for the bug, or are watching the QA contact.
