It would be good to outline who this website is for. Developers? End users?
Now we added the application catalog to maemo.org, we can't say it is
for developers only!

For the bottom section I think something like these 2 examples are a good
idea:

A column for news, a column with the last posts on the planet. And maybe
a column with the 5 newest/updated applications (with small screenshots
ofcourse)?

The columns could use some nice artwork from tigert :) Just like he did
for the planet. I will do the slicing/css + html if that needs to be done.
