Hi,

Do we need to be explicit? The website should be clear enough about its
offer and contents, so everybody can see if it's interesting for her or
not.

Right, now we have a catalog but a) not all entries are in a level of
stability taht can be digested by all users and b) it might be
dangeraous to put "users" explicitely there and then not be able to
support properly what users need.

I rather not awake expectations, and concentrate in developer who are a
clear focus for maemo.

Things interesting to see in the homepage (in no particular order and I
reckin puting just some of them requires some thought in the layout):

- Last Planet entries
- New garage projects
- Most active Garage projects
- Last Garage news
- How many projects hosted / how many apps downloadable
- Last STABLE applications/versions in the catalog for N800 / for 770
- Screenshot(s)!

- I would even like to see last top threads in maemo-users and
-developers, but I don't see how to implement this easily. The previous
items are based on data easy (I think) to retrieve.

- And why not, a http://del.icio.us/tag/maemo feed and other feeds we
can get from clever www like
http://flickr.com/photos/tags/maemo/interesting/ ,
http://youtube.com/results?search_query=Maemo ...

Ferenc, if you feel like overwhelmed I can suggest a layout for the
homepage once the items are agreed from all the new proposals in the
list.

Quim
