I realise that there are things which the council need to discuss amongst 
themselves but those should be the exception rather than the rule.

As a member of the community, I have a slight concern that if there is 
a "council" mailing list there will be a tendency for council members to send 
notes to the "council" address which actually could (and hence, should) have 
been sent to maemo-community.  It will be easy for a council member to 
feel "no one outside the council is interested in this, send it to the 
council address", whereas the test should be "this message needs to be kept 
confidential for now".

I would be extremely disappointed to read, at some future date, "this decision 
was discussed on the council list" about some decision affecting the 
community.

So, I would urge the council to consider carefully before setting up such a 
list.  If it is set up, I would like it to be archived so that future council 
members can see previous discussions.
