First, Graham, thank you for your thoughtful concern. I agree with
everything you stated wholeheartedly -- which is exactly why I made
this request on the -community list and not in private.

This is true. I wasn't asking for a new "list" to be created but,
rather, a single email address to be shared by all current council
members.
