Ok, it seems that there are several categories here: * Apps ready for daily use and that most of us would like having installed by default in our devices. For me: - Pidgin - Advanced backlight applet - Load applet - Xournal - Canola (if it would have a better/faster media scanner and indexer) - mogg - Maemo mapper - Maemo wordpy - Large Status bar clock - OMWeather * Apps that need some "coders" love: - Maemo-recorder * Apps under development or that doesn't exist yet: - Rotation support (including software based keyboard and handwriting method) Anyway, I think that a wiki with some kind of rating system would help to "organize" this 2008/10/9 Tim <tim at samoff.com>: >> how about including some projects that are cool but >> need help in their real development > > IMHO maemo-recorder is one of these as well. > > T. > > --- > Weblog ~ http://tim.samoff.com > Kidblog ~ http://kc.samoff.com > Photography ~ http://www.flickr.com/photos/timsamoff > Film ~ http://www.youtube.com/timsamoff > > > ----- Original Message ----- > Subject: Re: Pushing community software to prime time > From: Ryan Abel <rabelg5 at gmail.com> > To: "List for community development" <maemo-community at maemo.org> > Date: 10/09/2008 9:15 am > > > On Oct 9, 2008, at 10:41 AM, Daniel Martin Yerga wrote: > >> A small clarification, Mauku is open source from some months ago (1 >> year?), and the libmiaouw library (that handle the nice scrolling and >> the gestures in mauku) too.
