There was merely *one* blog post with the general idea of a council as far as 
I can tell. Everything else came *after* the process was (more or less) fixed.
And discussions on the wiki is just something that should be avoided in the 
future in my opinion (and reading other posts I am not alone with this).
With the community list things got better for that matter, as I would not 
expect every "community member" to be subscribed to the "maemo-devel" list and 
even read every post on it, especially if it is off-topic.

It was changed, but it has clearly been pointed out, that it was actually a 
"bit late", which I tend to agree. But this was mainly due to the time frame 
of less than a day from "semi final draft" to "action". Thus,

does not sound like encouraging a thoughtful discussion, given that there was 
less than 10 hours to react.

This is not about the election itself. It is about the terms and rules. All 
the coverage came *after* the (final) terms had been announced.

My point is just, that the drafts should have been brought up to the planet in 
a timely manner and I hope the future council will do so with the next drafts 
to come.
