[maemo-community] First revision of the plan to revamp maemo.org

Hi all,

Here's a first draft of the proposal to rework maemo.org - I'd like to
point out specifically three things which probably need more meat &
feedback:

 - Use-cases: this is my best guess from the various discussions about
what the core target audiences and use-cases for maemo.org are
 - Deadlines - realistic or not? Too conservative? Too optimistic?
 - Content reorganisation: This is the main one. I started making a list
of Maemo related content, page by page. It's *huge* - especially when
you start to include "unofficial" sites like the itt wiki, the various
forums (each targeting a different use-case), FAQs, the Gronmeyer
repository page, etc. But even the official documentation sectioon is
huge and diverse, and you can find useful tidbits linked to here and
there that could probably do with being more prominently displayed (one
example: I can only find one link to
http://maemo.org/maemo_release_documentation/maemo4.1.x/ on maemo.org -
everywhere else, the links are to a PDF document) - filtering this
through the usecases and proposing a sane structure that doesn't take
months to put in place will be the hardest part of the job.

Anyway - the first draft is now in the wiki page
http://wiki.maemo.org/Task:Improving_maemo.org/proposal - comments
welcome, and I suggest that we move this to the main
http://wiki.maemo.org/Task:Improving_maemo.org page ASAP.

Cheers,
Dave.
