Hi, I just put a proposal at http://wiki.maemo.org/Maemo_Summit_2009 When PROPOSED: 11-13 September (Friday to Sunday) Reason: right before OSiM World - http://event.osimworld.com/ Where PROPOSED: Amsterdam or surroundings. Reason: OSiM World is held in this well communicated and attractive city. ext Andrew Flegg wrote: > Much of this can be put down to the (unexpected) popularity of the > first summit; and there's no guarantee the next one will attract as > many people, but we can assume a similar number approximately, and add > some overhead room when looking for venues. I actually wouldn't be surprised by an increase of 50% in the attendance. Reasons: Maemo 5 popularity + increased scope beyond developers to include power users & enthusiasts. If we got loosely 200 people in total in the first Summit, I think it is safe to expect around 300 this year. Maybe not in the same place and at the same time, though. > With regards to Amsterdam, I was there with IBM a few years ago at an > Extreme Blue event which was held a few miles outside the city in a > large meeting venue.
