preferably w/in 20mins walk of a city center. (Actually, walking
around Amsterdam wasn't a problem, but it's still a good goal.)

FWIW, I checked and Amstelveen would be OK for my specific needs too
(with a bonus of me visiting a different location), and there is a
nice park on the way from Amstelveen toward Amsterdam. However I think
that in general Amsterdam is probably better for most people (more
sites/things to do).
