Hehe, I should say "what technical things need to happen". ;) What do  
we need to do to the autobuilder? Can we/should we use the Extras  
Assistant or should we wait? etc, etc.

Well, I'd like to balance not forcing developers into opening more of  
their own repositories and not opening up Extras too early. Worse  
comes to worst we can always purge incompatible applications from the  
repository when the beta ships, though.
