I have already begun the process of arranging my travel, from DFW to AMS and back. Departure is not a problem (I am hoping to attend the earlier Co-create sessions and there are plenty of flights for October 7 or October 8 for that matter). However, return flights either leave before the Summit has concluded or are so late that I would have to stay in New York one night in order to catch a connecting flight back home the next day. I actually would not mind staying in New York one night but I should really go straight home. Also, the flights available are $400 USD more than if I stayed through the 12th and left that morning. Surely the additional hotel cost for one more night does not come to that. Anyway, just wanted to put that out there because I know there are other US travelers who may run into the same thing. I believe Quim said exceptions might be made for long distance attendees in cases like this, but there is nothing official on the wiki page yet (http://wiki.maemo.org/Maemo_Summit_2009/Sponsored_travel). Has anyone else encountered and resolved this?
