Hi, I'd like to nominate myself for the Maemo Community Council. I would serve on the council as someone who would; 1. Ensure that open source Maemo software gets into Debian 2. Enable the integration of Maemo developers into the Debian project 3. Develop and extend the DEX process to Maemo 4. Help the community take advantage of the Debian infrastructure in a way that provides them the greatest independence and freedom My goal would be to promote Maemo software and developers and integrate their work into a sustainable project where their code could have a longer life spawn and potentially get new users, namely Debian. I would use my Debian contacts to smooth the path for Maemo developers who wanted to get more involved in Debian. I would serve one six month term on the council and one term only. I have no paid relationship to Nokia nor to maemo.org though I was maemo.org's debmaster previously. Regards, Jeremiah
