I read the whole thread.  I think we will have to agree to differ.  I saw 
absolutely nothing "anti-maemo" on that thread (although there was a fair bit 
of "anti-meego" stuff).  Nor did I see any attempt by anyone to siphon off 
developers or mind-share -- in fact it seemed the people involved in meego 
were having to justify why they should be allowed to talk about meego in the 
Community sub-forum!

The community forum is to talk about things affecting the community -- and the 
progress (or otherwise) of meego DE/CE is an absolutely critical item for 
discussion for the community.

Anyway, I am glad I gave up reading the forum -- I just wasted time reading 
151 posts and found out exactly one piece of information: that the meego CE is 
actually further along than I had realised (but still unlikely to be usable as 
a day-to-day phone before all the N900 hardware has died).  Oh, make that two: 
that there seems to have been some sort of points-based moderation scheme with 
heavy-handed moderators introduced since I last contributed.  I don't think I 
will be back.
