Hi,

(Sorry to flood ;-) )

Well... We are all running Linux.
We have

- the gnu gcc as compiler,
- Emacs as IDE/Editor
- the GTK libs and headers

We mostly master Python/OCaml/C than Java.
At school/college/univesrity, we made some complicated programs, but
never X11 applications, and very few multiple files project (all our
homeworks/projects were about one large file) and only command-line
based. Not event ncurses based.

As far as I read this:
http://www.maemo.org/platform/docs/tutorials/Maemo_tutorial.html

I doubt and don't really know if we have installed enough...
Do we need special flavour of GTK libs??

I dont really know what does this diagram mean:
http://www.maemo.org/platform/docs/tutorials/images/maemo_tutorial/Object2.png

Especially what and where could be the use of the "Hildon layer".

Well, as you may have guessed, we have the basic knowledge on how to
write applications, but no experience. But we learn fast... I hope :-).
And we're honest :-P.
