Well ,remember the screen is small (but have a > great pixel density). We can always fool the viewer > player with clever lower res in fullscreen =-P iPaq and similar devices can playback movies in 320x240 at full framrate given the video was coded to that resolution, i.e. no scaling required. So we should at least be able to do the same. And to use more of the screen we could simply double all pixels and get 640x480 at almost no CPU cost - just more bus bandwidth to transfer the frames. But it seems that the graphics itself is already accelarted to some extend so that should also be possible (hopefully). And with 640x480 you should be able to quite enjoyably watch a movie ;) Cheers nils faerber - -- kernel concepts Tel: +49-271-771091-12 Dreisbachstr. 24 Fax: +49-271-771091-19 D-57250 Netphen Mob: +49-176-21024535 - -- -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.1 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with Thunderbird - http://enigmail.mozdev.org iD8DBQFCxCN0JXeIURG1qHgRAtMFAKCDs+7HPlnHX6bD5/MgTFnesU9brQCgzPVi qqGHkFeoJcH4i/Um3VMvejA= =GmGP -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
