we just discussed about this topic on IRC :-) We have a set of PIM applications
ported from GPE now which have some support to sync using OpenSync. So far this
was mostly used to sync some mobile device with a PC, but i can't imagine it
would be complicated to run OpenSync on the 770 and sync it with cellphones
(e.g. using SyncML). The only thing we would need to do is to create an OpenSync
package and create a simple maemo user interface for it.

That seems to be an open bug, i noticed a similar failure with di.fm. When i
entered the URL to the straming server itself (instead of the playlist) it
started to work. So i guess it is not the stream data but the meta information
which causes this behaviour.

That's a good point, i missed that too. I just hope the kernel drivers expose
this kind of information in a useful way.

Yes - OpenVPN would rock and in contrast to IPSec it should be much easier to
create a configuration GUI for it. It seems to become more and more popular
because it is easier to set up (even using Windows). Here at our local
university it is just introduced for wireless access because of this.

Hmm... bluetooth multiplayer games would be really cool. Even more if there were
some more devices around supporting this so that you can e.g. play Tetris with
someone else using a cellphone instead a 770.

Greetings
