Hi!
For some time now I see power downs of the device for no reason.
It seems to happen over night.
When I come back next morning the device is full off, when pressing the
power button it starts to boot normally. The battery has never been the
fault (i.e. not empty).
Yesterday it happened again and I had to remove the battery before it
started to switch on / boot again.

I am wondering if this is a hardware or software fault?

Does anybody else see this happening?
Are there any hints on what might be tha cause?
And especially if this can be fixed?
